# Managed accounts FAQ (/docs/creators/managed-accounts/faq)

Answers to the questions people ask most about managed accounts, covering warmup, the monthly plan, pausing, posts, refunds and who owns the account.

<Accordions>
  <Accordion title="What is warmup, and why do I need it?">

    A brand-new account that starts posting on day one looks like spam. Warmup
    is normal activity in your topics: searching them, watching videos, and
    liking, saving and commenting the way a real viewer would. Every new account
    gets 3 warmup sessions, so it's established before its first post.
    See [Warming & Engage](/docs/creators/managed-accounts/warming-and-engage).

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="How long until my account is live?">

    There's no fixed delivery date. A person builds and warms every account,
    which usually takes days rather than hours. After that, you pick a day for
    each post and it goes out that day or the next.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Why is month 1 more than month 2?">

    Month 1 includes the one-off setup: the account signup and 3 warmup
    sessions. From month 2, each account's plan is upkeep plus the posts you
    choose, or upkeep only. See the current prices on the **Pricing** page.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="What does upkeep actually do?">

    Every 30 days, Bloss runs the background activity that keeps your account
    logged in, active and in good standing. The first 30 days are included with
    every new account. From month 2, the account's monthly plan pays for it.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="How do I stop paying for an account?">

    Pause it. Choose **At the end of the paid period** to keep it running until
    its **Paid until** date, or **Now** to stop posting straight away. Either
    way you won't be charged again, and nothing is deleted. Resuming before
    **Paid until** costs nothing for the pause; after that it costs the upkeep
    for the paused time plus your plan. See [Pause an
    account](/docs/creators/managed-accounts/plan-and-account-states#pause-an-account).

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="How long can an account stay paused?">

    Up to 28 days after its **Paid until** date. Bloss emails you 7 days and 1
    day before that. If it's still paused then, it closes for good: its handle,
    followers and posts on the platform are gone. Your unused posts and balance
    stay yours, and you can move them to another of your accounts.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Can the balance pay for upkeep?">

    No. From month 2, only the monthly plan keeps an account running. The
    balance is for add-ons: warmup sessions, profile changes and Share to story.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Can I use posts for other things?">

    No. Posts are only for posts. Add-ons are paid in dollars from the
    account's balance, and the monthly plan pays for upkeep.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Can I move posts between accounts?">

    Yes, and balance too. Each account has its own posts, balance and plan. Move
    them between your accounts whenever you like, so nothing sits unused on an
    account that doesn't need it.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Do posts expire? What about refunds?">

    Posts never expire: posts from the plan, from packs and from Start are all
    kept until you use them. Balance top-ups last 12 months. Refunds go back to
    the account, as posts or balance, not to your card. Upkeep is never
    refunded. The exceptions are refunded to your card automatically: a payment
    Bloss couldn't complete, and a resume that didn't go through.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="How do I pay, and where are my invoices?">

    By card, through Stripe. Month 1 is paid on Stripe's secure page, which
    saves your card. After that, posts, top-ups and add-ons are one click on the
    saved card, and your monthly plan is charged to it on each **Next charge**
    date. Every payment has an invoice: find them on the account's **Billing**
    tab under **Card and invoices**, and Bloss emails you a receipt. To change
    the card, click **Change card**. See [Paying by
    card](/docs/creators/managed-accounts/posts-and-balance#paying-by-card).

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="I have a code. Where do I use it?">

    At checkout, under **Have a code?**, or later on the account's **Billing**
    tab under **Add a code**. A code can take money off month 1, the monthly
    plan, or both, never posts, top-ups or add-ons. See
    [Codes](/docs/creators/managed-accounts/posts-and-balance#codes).

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="What happens if a payment fails?">

    The account pauses straight away and Bloss emails you. Nothing is deleted.
    Click **Update card** on its **Billing** tab, then **Resume**. See [If a
    payment doesn't go
    through](/docs/creators/managed-accounts/plan-and-account-states#if-a-payment-doesnt-go-through).

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Why can't I pay for a single story share by card?">

    Small card payments cost more in fees than the share itself. Top up the
    balance once and it covers your next story shares.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="What do you need from me?">

    A profile picture, name and bio, the topics you want the account warmed up
    in, and your videos. Add them once the account is bought, and Bloss takes it
    from there.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="How do I add more posts?">

    Change the account's plan: the new number of posts starts at the next
    charge. Need them sooner? Buy a post pack for that account; the posts are
    added straight away. See [Plan, posts &
    balance](/docs/creators/managed-accounts/posts-and-balance).

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Who owns the account?">

    You do. It's your handle, your content and your audience. Bloss holds the
    login so warmup, posting and upkeep run without interruption, and you
    control everything from Bloss. Logins stay with Bloss, including while the
    account is paused; nothing is deleted while it's paused.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="What can't you post?">

    Content that's duplicated or templated across accounts, or looks
    machine-generated, and the themes finance, crypto, gambling, health,
    psychology, politics and violence. An account that breaks these rules can be
    banned, and a ban for this isn't covered by the free rebuild. See the
    [content rules](/docs/creators/managed-accounts/content-rules).

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="What if the platform suspends my account?">

    Posting stops while the platform reviews it. You get one free rebuild per
    account: a new account in the same market, with the same warmup, under a new
    handle. A ban caused by content that breaks the
    [content rules](/docs/creators/managed-accounts/content-rules), or by
    breaking the platform's terms, isn't covered.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Can I cancel an account I bought?">

    Yes, before it's set up. Its posts and setup money stay yours and move to
    another of your accounts. Once the build starts, the setup fee isn't
    refundable.

</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Is this a bot?">

    No. A person does every action. You never receive the login. Nobody reads or
    answers direct messages, there are no live streams, and nobody can promise
    views, followers or sales.

</Accordion>
