Referral payouts

Pay creators a flat bonus when someone they referred becomes an active creator, and record when you've paid it.

Brand adminsTurn on in Settings

Referral payouts reward creators who bring in other creators. When a referred creator becomes an active member of your brand, Bloss records a flat payout for the creator who referred them. You pay it outside Bloss and mark it paid.

Turn it on

Enable the feature

In SettingsRulesFeatures, turn on Referral Bonus.

Set the amount

Enter the Referral payout amount and click Save. This is the flat amount the referrer earns for each referred creator who becomes active.

The sidebar now shows Referral Payouts.

When a referral payout is created

A payout is recorded when both are true:

  • The new creator joined through an invite link that's assigned to another creator (the referrer). See Inviting creators.
  • The new creator becomes active: they join directly when trials are off, they pass their trial (Bloss checks after each sync), or you move them out of trial yourself, for example with Skip Trial on their profile.

Each referred creator creates at most one referral payout. The amount is the one set in Settings at that moment; changing it later doesn't change payouts already recorded. Referral Bonus must be on, with an amount saved, when the creator becomes active.

Pay a referral

Full admins only

The Referral Payouts page lists every referral:

ColumnMeaning
ReferrerThe creator who earned the payout.
Referrer PayPalTheir PayPal email, or Not set.
Referred CreatorThe creator they brought in.
JoinedWhen the payout was recorded.
AmountThe referral payout.
StatusPending or Paid.

Pay the referrer yourself (for example by PayPal), then click Mark Paid on the row.

Not part of payout cycles

Referral payouts aren't sent through your payout provider and don't appear in cycles. Marking one paid only records that you paid it.
