Base pay rules
Set what a set earns for posting — one rate per pair or a rate per platform — and the platform and minimum-views rules that decide whether it earns anything.
Base pay is what a creator earns for each set that passes your rules. The rule labels call a set a pair. Configure it in SettingsRulesBase pay.
The card is three numbered steps. They aren't separate settings: they're the checks Bloss runs, in order, on every set.
Open Settings › Rules
1. How is a pair priced?
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
| One rate per pair | A single combined amount, no matter how many platforms the creator posts on. Enter it in Amount per pair. It's paid once per set — not multiplied per platform. |
| A rate per platform | Each platform pays its own amount (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook), added up across the set. A platform set to $0 pays nothing. |
2. Which platforms must have a post?
This step only applies to One rate per pair:
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Every connected platform | The creator must post the video everywhere they're connected. Miss one, and the set pays $0. |
| At least one platform | One qualifying post is enough to earn the full amount. |
"Connected" means the platforms linked on that creator's own profile. A creator with no YouTube account is never penalized for missing YouTube.
With A rate per platform there's nothing to require: every post pays its own rate, and a missing platform contributes $0.
A failed set earns no bonus either
A set that fails step 2 or step 3 earns nothing at all — no base pay and no bonus.
3. Which posts count?
Minimum views filters out posts that underperform before any money is calculated. Set it to 0 to turn the rule off.
When it's above 0, choose How the minimum is measured. This choice is marked Saves immediately; everything else on the card saves with Save Base Pay.
| Option | Pricing | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Every post must clear it | One rate per pair | Every post in the set must reach the minimum. One weak post zeroes the set. |
| Any one post clears it | One rate per pair | One post reaching the minimum qualifies the whole set. |
| Each post on its own | A rate per platform | A post must reach the minimum to pay its platform's rate. Other posts are unaffected. |
| All posts added together | Both | The set's views are summed. It qualifies once the total reaches the minimum, even if no single post does. With per-platform rates, every platform unlocks at once. |
The minimum is checked only against posts that exist. Step 2 decides whether a missing platform matters.
If a set has two posts on the same platform, only the one with more views is judged and paid.
Check your rule
The top of the card shows Your current rule as one sentence, for example "Pay $20.00 per pair when the creator posts on every connected platform and every one of those posts reaches 1,000 views."
What this pays runs a sample set through the same calculation Bloss uses for real payouts, so you can see the effect of your settings before you save.
Try it
Change the rules and the sample set below to see what one set would pay. The calculator prices the set the same way Bloss prices real payouts, including your bonus model.

Worked examples
All examples use a creator connected to Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and a Minimum views of 1,000.
| Set | TikTok | YouTube | Total | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | 4,800 | 350 | 1,200 | 6,350 |
| B | 480 | 350 | 300 | 1,130 |
| C | 4,800 | 2,000 | not posted | 6,800 |
One rate per pair: $20.00
| Set | Every connected platform + Every post must clear it | Every connected platform + Any one post clears it | Every connected platform + All posts added together | At least one platform + Every post must clear it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | $0 — TikTok is below 1,000 | $20 | $20 — 6,350 ≥ 1,000 | $0 — TikTok is below 1,000 |
| B | $0 | $0 — no post reaches 1,000 | $20 — 1,130 ≥ 1,000 | $0 |
| C | $0 — YouTube is missing | $0 — YouTube is missing | $0 — YouTube is missing | $20 — both posts clear 1,000 |
A rate per platform: Instagram $8, TikTok $6, YouTube $5
| Set | Each post on its own | All posts added together |
|---|---|---|
| A | $13 — Instagram $8 + YouTube $5; TikTok pays $0 | $19 — 6,350 ≥ 1,000, so $8 + $6 + $5 |
| B | $0 — no post reaches 1,000 | $19 — 1,130 ≥ 1,000 |
| C | $14 — Instagram $8 + TikTok $6 | $14 — 6,800 ≥ 1,000; YouTube wasn't posted |
Custom pay for a creator or a set
You can override the brand rate for one creator (a single amount or per-platform amounts) on their profile, or for one set. Custom pay replaces the rate, but the set still has to pass steps 2 and 3. See Creator profile and Custom pay and unpaid sets.
When changes take effect
Saving updates your brand's rules. A running cycle that has locked its rules keeps them, and Bloss tells you so with Current cycle won't be affected. See Changing rules mid-cycle.
