Syncing

How and when Bloss pulls in creators' posts and views — the nightly sync, Run Full Sync, Auto-Pair All Videos and syncing a single creator.

Brand admins

Syncing is how Bloss finds your creators' new posts and updates the views, likes, comments and shares on the ones it already has. You don't need to do anything: it runs every night. Use the manual controls when you need fresh numbers sooner.

The nightly sync

Once a day, in the evening of your brand's timezone (between 20:00 and 23:59), Bloss runs a full sync for your brand:

  1. Sync every Active and Trial creator: new posts, updated stats, follower counts.
  2. Pair new posts into sets for every unpaid payout cycle. See How sets work.
  3. Recalculate pay for every unpaid cycle.
  4. Refresh qualification for every set, so the Eligible marks match the latest views.
  5. Check instant base pay, if your brand uses it. See Instant base pay.

If a night's run fails, Bloss tries your brand again later.

Paused and Deleted creators are skipped. See Statuses.

What else a sync does

  • Records the day's view counts, which power charts, the Stats as of date on a creator's Videos tab, and pay.
  • Corrects a post's date when the platform reports a better one, and moves its set's date with it.
  • Checks link health: dead links and changed handles.
  • Moves trial creators who've passed to Active. See Trials.
  • Updates posting compliance flags.
  • Marks new posts dated before a creator's relevance cutoff as irrelevant.

Run it yourself

On Payouts & Cycles, at the right end of the tab bar, there are two buttons:

Run Full Sync

Runs the whole nightly sync now: syncs all creators, pairs videos across every unpaid cycle, and recalculates payouts. It can take a few minutes on larger brands.

Click Run Full Sync, then Start. When it's done, Bloss shows Full sync complete with Creators synced, Pairs created, Payouts created and Total amount.

Auto-Pair All Videos

Groups unpaired videos into sets across all unpaid cycles and recalculates each set's pay. It doesn't fetch new posts — use it after a creator sync, or after fixing pairing or relevance by hand.

Click Auto-Pair All Videos, then Start Auto-Pair. The result shows Pairs created and Failed.

Sync one creator

On a creator's profile, click Sync Data, then Start Sync. Bloss refreshes that creator's posts and follower stats across their connected platforms and tells you what changed.

Syncing one creator doesn't pair

A single-creator sync brings new posts in, but doesn't group them into sets. They're paired on the next nightly sync — or click Auto-Pair All Videos to do it now.

Add a post the sync missed

Sometimes a platform leaves a post out of a creator's profile listing, so the sync never sees it. Add it yourself:

Open the dialog

On the creator's Videos tab, click Add Videos by URL. It's there for creators with Instagram or TikTok connected.

Paste one or more Instagram or TikTok post URLs, separated by spaces, commas or new lines. TikTok share links work too.

Added posts join the normal video list. Bloss slots each one into the set it belongs to when it can match it, using the same rules as automatic pairing. They count toward pay like any other post and are refreshed on every sync.

See when data was last updated

  • Creators shows Refreshed with how long ago the most recent creator sync was.
  • A creator's profile shows when their data was last Refreshed.
  • A creator's Videos tab shows, per cycle, when pay was Last calculated and which day's views it used (Stats as of).
